Heavy Drum Hits

Weight at the front of the beat.

Build a rhythm from 72 synthesized drum hits: 30 kicks, 30 snares and 12 claps. Heavy Drum Hits combines deep foundations, tighter knocks, sharper noise attacks and layered clap-style bursts.

Pick your kick and backbeat independently, then sequence the groove you want. Pitched kick and snare bodies carry nominal C labels; noise-based claps are clearly marked as unpitched C-triggered sounds. The newer drum designs are kept together here, with the earlier experiments separated into the free archive.

What is included

  • 72 individual drum WAV samples
  • 30 kicks, 30 snares and 12 claps
  • Pitched bodies documented; unpitched clap material clearly labelled

Audio specification

  • 48 kHz / 24-bit stereo WAV audio
  • Nominal C roots and sampler root metadata where meaningful
  • Peak-normalized to -1 dBFS
  • Recorded effect tails and intentional pitch movement preserved
  • A sample catalogue with tuning and duration details

Use in your DAW

Drag the WAV files into a sampler or audio track in a DAW that supports this format. No YGGDRASIL installation is required. These downloads contain WAV audio samples, not synth presets.

These are single-note recordings and drum one-shots, not pre-cut loops. Tempo-synced movement and effects were rendered at 140 BPM. Nominal root labels retain the sound's programmed pitch sweeps, vibrato and harmonic layers. Unpitched or inharmonic material uses a C-trigger label rather than a claimed fixed fundamental.
